This is the fracture dislocation of the distal radial bone pulling the carpal bones with it towards the volar side. The treatment is surgery, reducing the fracture and the dislocation, then fixing it with a small plate.
These are quite common fractures and they got displaced when people don’t realize they have the fracture , walking on it. It’s absolutely important to immobilize these patients with the slightest suspicion.
I like to preserve the natural head at all cost. I do cannulated screws for these cases.
