Most of the foreign bodies lodged inside the body don’t need emergency removal. Removal should be well planned and the image intensifier can help a lot. Most recent X rays must be used since the foreign bodies tend to migrate. Removal could be very difficult and at times fail.
This patient is very obese and we are fortunate to successfully remove the sewing needle from her right thigh.
This is not a common problem. It could be treated conservatively in the elderly population, but in the young people and those who insists on reduction,surgery is the option.

Excision of the lumps can be done but the wound healing might not be good because of the skin involvement.

A 48year old lady with the fracture patella .The distal fragment was comminuted. This tension band wiring gives a good reduction. By 6 weeks she achieves a full range of knee movement.

This is the fracture dislocation of the distal radial bone pulling the carpal bones with it towards the volar side. The treatment is surgery, reducing the fracture and the dislocation, then fixing it with a small plate.
These are quite common fractures and they got displaced when people don’t realize they have the fracture , walking on it. It’s absolutely important to immobilize these patients with the slightest suspicion.
I like to preserve the natural head at all cost. I do cannulated screws for these cases.
